Bridie also recently teased fans by asking what they thought happened to Tess and her husband Nick – who was played by heartthrob Myles Pollard –after they moved to Argentina, when it was revealed that Nick had survived a plane crash in South America.
"What would they be doing today? Right now, in Argentina. Who have they become, what roads have they traversed together? How have they changed? How are they the same?" she asked the thousands of diehard fans she regularly updates on social media.
"She was always open, always positive, always forward-moving in her life. She certainly had her ups and downs, her questions, her stumbles, like all of us. But the one thing the writers gave her was tenacity, resilience and the absolute ability to never give up - no matter what.
"I certainly can learn a lot from Tess. I did. I do. And we can take comfort from her, that life is full of ups and downs and unknowns and sometimes, we just have to ride the wave."
That "wave" could see Bridie, Lisa and their fictional half-sister, Jodi Fountain-McLeod (played by Rachael Carpani, 42) return for the much anticipated reboot, along with stars like Aaron Jeffery, 52, and Myles, 50, who played the sons of landed gentry and became heartthrobs.
Myles says McLeod's Daughters, which captivated Australia for eight seasons from 2001 to 2009 on Nine, remains one of the "most incredible experiences of my life" and that he has nothing but gratitude and fond memories of Drovers Run.
The beauty of the reboot, which has a working title of The McLeods Of Drovers Run, and was initially conceived as a movie but could end up a new TV series, is that it will blend "past, present and future", according to creator Posie Graeme-Evans.
DEAL SIGNED
Posie confirmed three years ago that she was working on a feature film based on the series, and late last year signed a "multi-year deal" with new Australian studio Dreamchaser, which is run by former Nine Entertainment CEO Hugh Marks, fuelling speculation it could become a TV series.
"We're just at the beginning, the very beginning, but we're on our way. No promises but I have such a good feeling about this. Hope I'm right," she posted on Instagram.
Posie let slip intriguing details about the reboot, including that it will be part prequel and part sequel, and include the "origin story" of how the McLeods came to South Australia from the Scottish highlands in the 1850s.
"We've found, in the present, a massive arc that weaves one white horse brought from Scotland long ago to brumbies on Drovers Run today," she reveals, joking that she would "blend the past, the present and the future into one coherent whole or die trying".
Posie also paid tribute to the millions of loyal McLeods fans around the globe, admitting the reboot was thanks to their many posts, messages and loyalty.
"Without you all, all over the world, we'd never have come this far," she says.

Truck driver turned actor Shaun Anthony Robinson takes a trip to Hollywood, largely to prove to himself that he’s serious about acting. The Australian had no concrete plans – his mission was simply to make a go of it. He interviews a long list of (mostly) Australian hopefuls as well as established actors in a documentary that, when looked at from its best side, is a treatise on not giving up. It’s almost pure positivity, but there are some words of biting reality in the mix.
Seen from its worst side, there are almost too many interviews for the film’s short running time, so you never get a proper handle on individual stories – including Robinson’s own Hollywood adventure. It seems that Surviving Sunset focuses on his first trip to La La Land and that he’s been over more than once, but that’s not quite clear. We see him at karaoke, but not auditions.
The parade of interviewees includes Michael G Welch (Clickbait), Bree Bain (Home and Away), Peter Mochrie (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Cameron Barnes (Betrayed), Matt Nable (Transfusion, Last King of the Cross), Style Dayne (Deadpool), Kahli Williams (Neighbours) and many others.
The down-to-earth Robinson, who wrote and directed this, is to be admired. He’s put himself out there and has met with a decent measure of success. Surviving Sunset includes a potted history of his life; someone who has lifted himself out of extremely difficult circumstances. His demo reel (not seen in the documentary) shows him playing some tough guy roles, and playing them well. You may recognise him from Frayed, Wellmania or from a brief stint on Neighbours.
Although the doco lacks narrative or any real depth, it does have a keen sense of place and will strike a chord with its hang-on-to-your-dreams message.

Basata sull’omonimo romanzo uscito nel 2018 dell’autrice Karin Slaughter, la serie tv è composta da otto episodi ed è stata ideata da un team creativo tutto al femminile, guidato da Charlotte Stoudt, Bruna Papandrea, Lesli Linka Glatter e Minkie Spiro. Quest’ultima dirigerà la prima stagione del progetto.
Scritta da Charlotte Stoudt, anche showrunner del progetto, Pieces of Her è ambientata in una sonnolenta cittadina della Georgia, dove un atto di violenza scatena una catena di eventi inaspettati per la trentenne Andy Oliver (Heathcote) e sua madre Laura (Collette). Alla disperata ricerca di risposte, Andy intraprende un pericoloso viaggio attraverso l’America, che la porterà a scoprire il lato nascosto e oscuro della sua famiglia.
In Pieces of Her Nicholas Burton interpreta Andrew Queller, il figlio minore di Martin Queller (Terry O’Quinn) e l’unico idealista della famiglia. Aaron Jeffery sarà invece un personaggio misterioso e potenzialmente pericoloso, il quale appare nella vita di Laura (Collette) e Andy (Heathcote) dopo che l’atto violento ha innescato una catena inaspettata di eventi.
